I work in the dungarvan and surrounding waterford areas (and East cork/Clonmel) so I'm lucky to usually have beautiful work views like this today 💙

BACK PAIN 😨 in horses is one of the most common problems I see!!

Here is a video of Monas back being treated today through myofascial release.
Pre, during X2 and post treatment!!

Some signs your horses back may be at them can be:
1. Dipping their back when brushing/washing/scraping
2. Having a "cold back" when you first get on them, so again dipping their back when you get up on them.
3. Stiffer or more resistant on one rein
4. Refusing jumps (which is unusual or out of character for your horse)
5. Bucking
6. Putting their ears back for things they wouldn't usually.
7. Transitions may not be as flent.

There are other signs too but these are the more commons ones seen. They may not all relate exactly to back pain but do relate to your horse being in pain 😢

When people hear I'm a Veterinary Physiotherapist they say "ahh your animals must love that getting treated all the time".... When in reality they are always the last to be done...
But today I finally managed to get around to treating biscuits before she heads off to England tonight, best of luck team!!
Also working outside in the sun was a nice addition today ☀️😍
