If you've been walking at Raven Point these past few weeks, you may have spotted this fenced off area and its accompanying signs. This special cordoned zone is meant to protect ground nesting birds like Little Terns and Ringed Plovers. Their nests, eggs, and chicks are nearly impossible for the casual observer to see, so the best way to avoid disturbing or harming them is to respect the cordon and keep back. Those out walking dogs should also keep them on leads to avoid disturbing the birds.
