Automated gates can pose risks during strong winds due to their size, weight, and susceptibility to external forces. Strong winds can exert excessive force on gates, damaging motors, hinges, or tracks and swing gates are particularly vulnerable to being pushed beyond their designed range of motion, leading to mechanical failure or breakage.
A damaged gate may swing uncontrollably or close suddenly, posing a risk of injury. If detached by wind force, parts of the gate can become hazardous projectiles.
Please use extra care in the high winds and keep your gate in a secure position for the duration of the storm if possible.
