Today was all about delegation. ๐Ÿ‘

I had the pleasure of delivering Delegation Skills training on behalf of Optimum Limited to eight participants from the Queally Group, and what a fantastic day it turned out to be.

We didnโ€™t spend the day talking about delegation in theory alone. We brought it to life through real workplace examples, practical discussions, group activities, paired exercises, and honest conversations about what gets in the way of effective delegation.

There was plenty of participation, lots of learning, a few moments outside the comfort zone, and more than a few laughs along the way. ๐Ÿ˜Š

My favourite part of the day was asking each participant to leave with three commitments:

๐Ÿ”น One thing they will stop doing
๐Ÿ”น One thing they will start doing
๐Ÿ”น One thing they will continue doing

Simple actions. Real accountability. Immediate impact.

A huge well done to everyone involved. Your openness, willingness to share experiences, and commitment to developing your leadership skills made the session what it was.

Learning is important. Applying it back in the workplace is where the real value lies.

And yes, they even let me take a few photos to prove they were there! ๐Ÿ“ธ๐Ÿ˜„

Thank you to the team at Queally Group for the warm welcome and engagement throughout the day.

We often post about the big wins.

The new client.
The promotion.
The marathon medal.
The book launch.
The breakthrough moment.

Today wasn't one of those days.

Today was a dishwasher, dog walks, coaching calls, coffee with my husband, a Tesco list, a training session in Mayo, some work on my book, and a reminder that a good day doesn't need to be a dramatic day. โ˜•๐Ÿพ

As a business owner, coach, and someone living with Long COVID, I've learned to appreciate the days where energy feels steady, work feels meaningful, and life feels balanced.

I wrote this reflection after what was, by all accounts, an ordinary Thursday.

The funny thing is, the older I get, the more I realise that ordinary days are often the best days.

I'd love to know what made your day a good one. ๐Ÿ˜Š

๐Ÿ‘‡ Article below.

Last night I got home to Wexford after a day of work and travel in Dublin. I was tired.

๐Ÿณ Scrambled eggs, a good cuppa tea, and a quiet moment before the day gets going.

No life lessons. No productivity hacks. No profound insights.

Just breakfast doing what breakfast does. ๐Ÿ˜„

A quick stop at Kilcannon Garden Centre, Enniscorthy, to fuel up before tackling whatever todayโ€™s to-do list decides to throw at me.

Supporting local, enjoying the simple things, and trying not to get scrambled myself. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Right, thatโ€™s enough sitting around. Time to seize the dayโ€ฆ or at least strongly negotiate with it. โ˜•๐Ÿณ๐ŸŒž
