At 18, feeling like I didn't fit anywhere, I chose to leave home. A scholarship offered a path, but the dream of psychology was out of reach due to lack of funds. This independence, while a survival tool, can sometimes feel like a liability, making me want to 'run for the hills' when things get tough. It's a trait I'm learning to navigate.
