True story: I had a 22 cubic foot Amana refrigerator for 30 years. It had the minor routine repair here and there. I got used to its 747 takeoff noise in my kitchen, frozen lettuce, water dripping on my eggs and spoiled milk. In the winter it was like having another heater when I walked by it – but still I thought I was being wise and frugal by keeping it alive and running. The latest repair was the condenser and my refrigerator guy said this is a good time to look for a new fridge.

Well, with the new fridge – my electricity bill dropped by HALF, and my food keeps twice as long. It is so quiet that I can even hear myself think.

Why am I telling you this? Within the past week I received calls from three new clients – each with a different problem but having the same answer. They stayed too long with an old WordPress theme and ran into incompatibility issues. The answer for all of them is a rebuild using an up to date theme.

Don't wait until it's too late.

Is it just me, or are we all getting tired of wordpress changes? WordPress 5.6 is scheduled to be released tomorrow and brings potentially breaking changes. You should not update to WordPress 5.6 before ensuring all the site's plugins and theme are compatible with it.
