At the start of every year I put together a short list of goals in different areas as well as a reaffirmation of my mission and "fixing" area.

It "lives" in the pocket of my phone case, right next to my personal strength "treasure chest". Although I mean to look at both often, in reality it doesn't happen.

As a result I am less mindful of my goals day to day.

So this year I decided to move both to a new location where I can't escape meeting them - on my computer.

Sometimes a small technical tweak makes all the difference.

I say this in every single entrepreneurship class I teach. NOBODY CARES ABOUT YOU AND STOP BEING INSULTED ABOUT IT.

PR costs $$$$$. If you can get free exposure in an *appropriate* venue it's worth its weight in gold.

But it needs to be part of marketing STRATEGY! PR is just one channel people will learn about you. How will you convert that exposure into sales? Don't just give out freebies to anyone who asks.

Have a marketing/PR strategy and give in places where it is strategic for you. And then have a capture strategy to turn PR into leads and leads into customers.

Everybody from Fortune 500 clients to the charity down the block will ask for discounts and donations. Say yes, and build the cost into your prices.
