I saw Carmen yesterday at the magnificent Sydney Opera House. A superb production with Bizet's terrific music! It was an incredible experience in an absolutely unique venue. Still, the excitement and the pleasure have almost vanished when I watch the bushfires, the smoke and the polution that have affected huge parts of N.S.W and Victoria.
