We are excited to start working in Tanzania to develop waste-to-energy solutions in the country.
After fruitful meeting with the country's Ministry for Energy and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, we see a sustainable future that utilizes waste to power homes and industry which will propel the economy and prosperity in the region.

We, at AST, are dedicated to changing how the world views waste, AST brings decades of knowledge and experience developing, manufacturing and operating waste management solutions, tackling various types of waste to recycle and produce new products that can address the growing waste and energy crisis the human race is facing.

African countries bring forth great potential in implementing waste to energy and Hydrogen technologies due to their large quantities of agricultural waste and unique environmental settings. We believe future progress can come from the most unexpected places and we will soon see African countries becoming a focal point for sustainability.

AST joins a community of major companies working to significantly advance and accelerate the hydrogen economy across the Africa continent. As an AHP member, AST can now exchange knowledge and best practices with a network of industry innovators and experts in the Hydrogen field, collaborating on implementing technologies that will build the future Hydrogen economy of Africa.

We are human beings but do we believe in humanity? One sentence with an enormous meaning.

On the one hand we have left no more room to dump our garbage. But on the second, lots of solutions are popping up in the cleantech market lately which gives hope.

The world now agrees that there couldn’t be a more ergent time to fix our earth, to create a brighter tomorrow. AST has began acting already, acting big time!

At 2050: Over 1.4 kids at Africa will suffer from malnutrition
At 2100: 18% of all spices on land be at high risk of extinction
At 2100: Few of the low island countries will sink
The question at this moment is not if can we avoid the crisis. we need to ask: can we avoid the worst consequences?

Its our time to rescue the world

The Silent Plague ...
COVID has brought with it many changes to the daily lives of each one of us, but beyond what we see and hear, a silent epidemic occurs under our noses.
The plastic and medical waste that is created in using masks, vaccines and other medical procedures causes an increase and accumulation of waste at an alarming rate.
While it is likely to see an increase in waste production following recent events, new studies are revealing the fate of these wastes and their effects on humans and the environment on Earth.
And now for the numbers:
From the beginning of 2020 to August 2021, about 8.5 million tons of surplus plastic waste were generated worldwide (beyond normal production). Scientific estimates show that in that time span, over 25,000 tons of medical waste has reached the ocean. Of these, more than 1.5 billion used face masks are found in the sea today.
We currently produce about 2 billion tons of waste worldwide each year, with about 33% of that amount (extremely conservative estimates!) Not treated at all. Every year this amount grows at an increasing rate, by 2050 the amount of annual waste production is expected to exceed 3.5 billion tons per year.
Even if we start treating all the waste generated in the world today, we are in a wild rush to repair past damages from centuries of neglect.
This week we will participate in the HealthIL Medical Innovation Conference and present our solution for green medical waste treatment in hospitals around the world. The unique process offered by AST makes it possible to extract hydrogen and energy from medical waste in an efficient process and with zero pollutant emissions.

A successful experiment of our unique recycling process in collaboration with industrial and technology companies from Israel and the USA!
With the help of the best technologies in the world, we were able to develop a real recycling process for hazardous waste, carry out a successful pilot run and prove the feasibility of the most advanced waste recycling facility to be built in Israel.
For the first time we will be able to recycle the hazardous waste into raw materials and return it to production plants instead of only disposing of it - on the way to a true circular economy.
