The Indian Navy launched a rescue operation after the US reportedly struck Iranian warship IRIS Dena in the Indian Ocean while it was returning from India.

A long-range patrol aircraft was sent to support Sri Lanka’s rescue efforts, while ships INS Tarangini and INS Ikshak were deployed with standby aircraft carrying air-droppable life rafts.
