International Centre of Entrepreneurship and Technology (icreate) is an autonomous institution that identifies, nurtures, and mentors aspiring individuals /teams. Formed under the aegis of Gujarat Foundation of Entrepreneurial Excellence (GFEE), a joint venture
of Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Limited (GMDC) and Gujarat Entrepreneurship and
Venture Promotion Foundation (GEVPF). iCreate w
ill identify, nurture, mentor and grow the spirit of
entrepreneurship and innovation amongst the youth. Established as an autonomous centre of excellence, iCreate is taking shape on a sprawling 34 acres campus on the outskirts of Ahmedabad that will be home to imaginative & innovative brains with
"do it" spirit. The building will house 100 incubates concurrently working on 40-50 projects. The iCreate model is a unique one, based on shared success. We seek, select and incubate imaginative and innovative minds. The core idea is to engage and participate throughout their entrepreneurial journey instead of merely facilitating them from the outside. More like a partner than a third party facilitator. iCreate provides business counselling to lay a firm foundation of business skills, intellectual support to encourage innovative and independent thinking, training to hone their skills and thinking, IdeaLab - a space where ideas can grow and flourish through mentoring and finally networking to take these ideas further through access to markets, money or mentors. For individuals who require support at the start-up stage of their entrepreneurial ventures, iCreate will provide mentoring to resolve the initial obstacles, grooming to channelise their thought processes, incubate their projects to help them develop their value proposition, facilitate their entrepreneurial journey and help them network with other institutions and individuals to carry their project forward. For Entrepreneurs and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) wishing to Scale-up, iCreate will provide them: peer groups to share and encourage new perspectives in their projects, capital to give them that extra push towards growth, network to increase the reach of their existing business and facilitate their entrepreneurial pursuits. iCreate is a one-stop shop that provides access to money, mentors & markets.
