What is Infrastructure Cess ???

There will be a levy of "1%" infrastructure cess on petrol/LPG/CNG-driven motor vehicles of length not exceeding 4 metres and engine capacity not exceeding 1200cc.
And "2.5%" cess on diesel-driven motor vehicles of length not exceeding 4 metres and engine capacity not exceeding 1500cc.
And "4%" for other big sedans and SUVs...
