Most of the furniture is from their pre-owned collection- either inherited or from their previous homes, while the new ones designed are done considering these existing pieces.
A century old bookshelf anchors the living space- the new partition in stained ply forms a backdrop that enables the lighting services for the exposed slab while offering additional space for art/ books/knickknacks, as well as providing a dignified enclosure from the entry foyer.
A blue wall, a precious remnant from the memories of all their previous homes is the final layer of backdrop that takes in a service window from the kitchen, enabling connection and privacy at the same time.
Minimal interventions are done to enable lighting in the exposed concrete slab.
