Georgian college, Canada - Update:
Our Winter 2021 intake is open now for application. Please find attached program availability/requirement list. Kindly send applications for the programs mentioned in program availability sheet. Please make sure that the student meets the requirements mentioned against each program name.
Please NOTE:
1. As seats are limited, please send STRONG profiles only. Kindly send us applications for students who are ready with their documents and payments.
2. Submission of application do not guarantee an offer as the seats are limited. However, to increase its chances, please send us as much diverse (program and region wise) applications as possible.
3. Please include all 3 related program choices in application form. In case first program choice is full and closed, student may have a chance to get the offer for 2nd if it is open.
4. Paid students looking to defer their programs to January, advise them they can do so. Deferrals are allowed only if the student has paid minimum non-refundable deposit of CAD 2500 to secure program seat. Deferral request for the same program should be requested through IAS – OCAS. Deferral form should be uploaded on IAS while submitting the request. Please check the attached User guide for more information.
5. Deferral with program change request should be emailed to me. Documents required – Program change form, tuition fee receipt and a copy of LOA.
6. Please advise students that campus or program change would be difficult once an offer is issued. This is same even when they arrive on campus.
7. Kindly make sure we receive at least the non-refundable tuition deposit of CAD 2500 by the deadline mentioned in Pre-admit.
8. Application processing time is between 2-4 weeks. Program which require coordinator’s review will take more than usual time. Program may get waitlisted or closed anytime during processing period.
9. We do not accept cumulative academic gap of more than 2 years for diploma and 5 years for Graduate Certificate Programs.
10. We do not accept more than 8 backlogs (including attempts) if the student has completed 4 years of degree, 4 backlogs if it is 3 years and 4 for 2 years of education.
11. Please upload work experience document/resume if student has an academic gap within the period mentioned above.
12. As not all programs are offered in main campus Barrie, please advise students about the campus they are applying to.
13. Agency change is not possible in any circumstances.
14. For India region IELTS/Duolingo (temporarily for Fall/Winter only) are accepted for English proficiency. Temporarily, we are issuing conditional offers on IELTS for Winter intake. An official copy of IELTS would be required to receive an unconditional offer.
15. We do not accept NIOS/open school or distance learning education.
16. There’s no application fee waiver. However, please inform us by call/email before you apply for a student who paid application fee to receive a LOA/student number in previous intake and now wants to reapply in this intake.
17. Please upload all mark sheets and provisional in ONE pdf only.
18. Applications which are complete with all the required documents asked for program, will be considered first. Please make sure to upload all additional documents like resume/letter of intent asked for specific programs.
19. For a diploma program, student who have recently completed grade 12th will be considered first. Only if seats are left, we will consider students with degree. Likewise, for graduate certificate programs. Only if seats are left, we will consider students with master’s degree.
20. You can apply for a conditional offer letter based on academics. Do not forget to upload grade 11th marksheet and predicted scores for students who are currently in grade 12th. For graduate certificate programs please provide all marksheet/transcripts until the previous semester. A letter from the college/university stating that the student will finish their education will also be required.
Supporting documentation:
Clear and visible scanned original or certified copies of all documentation and academic records must be attached to the application
Documentation must be legible and easy to read
For documents that are not in English, certified translated copies must also be provided
PDF documents are preferred
Do not send links to documents, no rar, no zip, etc.
Please make sure to upload letter of intent, current resume for specific programs.
