Aakar Empowerment Pvt Ltd (AEL) is a training and consultancy organisation working in the area of soft - skill and life - transformation training. It also specializes in conducting organisational development interventions in the area of behavioral safety. It has been working in these areas for the last 10 years. AEL is promoted by three partners namely Suresh Prajapati, Dinesh Prajapati and Ravi S
heshadri. Suresh is an agriculture graduate and post graduate in human resources. From the last 18 years, he has been associated with various human transformation programs. From 1994-2003, he worked with prestigious organisations like IIM-Ahmedabad, Aga Khan Rural Support Program, India (AKRSP-I), MARAG and OXFAM and acquired a wide experience in working at various locations in Gujarat. From 2003 onward, he has been working as an independent consultant in the area of human development. Dinesh also is an agriculture graduate from Lokbharti Vidyapith, Gujarat. As of now, he is extensively involved as a trainer and training consultant. He has imparted training in and outside Gujarat for government and non-government organisations. He is also a founder trustee of NGO Marag in Gujarat. He has worked for 15 years with organisations like Aga Khan Rural Support Program – India (AKRSP – I) and AT India. After gaining such a rich experience, he started working independently as a trainer from 2002. Ravi is a B.Tech (Dairy Tech) and post graduate in marketing. He has a varied experience in marketing, non-for-profit management and human resource management from 1998-2011. From 2011 onward, he has been working as an independent consultant in the area of human development. Till today, AEL has given more than 3000 training program / workshops / seminars for various organisations listed below. Over and above AEL has been actively working with youngsters for character building workshops. It also organizes workshops on husband wife relationships,positive attitude, interpersonal relationship,memory enhancement and leadership. It has interacted with more than 8000 teachers in Gujarat for workshops on “Quality of education”. AEL has worked in 10 states including Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Odisha, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar for life transforming program. It also contributes to the community good by writing and publishing books on the subject of character building. Today Aakar works majorly with the following organisations :
Tata Steel : Aakar works at its plant at Kalinganagar, Odisha, for behavioral based safety interventions from the last one year. Here we are working with 15000 workers, supervisors and contractors through interventions at site and worker residential colonies. We will work at this site till March 2015. Tata Power : It works at it’s seven power producing locations for 3 days life-transformational programs for its executives through its SPANDAN program. It also works for workers through its WORKER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM. This has improved their productivity. It is working at Kalinganagar, Odisa, for behavior based safety intervention from the last one year with 2000 workers, supervisors and contractors. This project extends till March 2015. It has also worked at Coastal Gujarat Power Ltd, Mundra (a fully-owned subsidiary of Tata Power) for behavioral safety interventions. In the 2.5 years, there has been zero fatality at this project site, where at peak of its work, 14000 workers worked. Tata Chemicals Limited : It works it its two manufacturing sites at Mithapur, Gujarat and Babrala, Uttar Pradesh. Here also SPANDAN and WORKER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM are running. Adani Port and SEZ Limited, Mundra : It works at its port site for behavioral safety interventions with almost 2000 workers. Aakar has worked in the past for following organisations :
Gujarat Police : Aakar has worked extensively with all cadres of Gujarat police for behavioral change in the area of customer servicing at various locations. Karmayogi Abhiyan: Suresh and Dinesh Prajapati were amongst the five master trainers for this project, where in 5 lakh employees of government went through a four day behavioral program for betterment in their lives and customer servicing. Departments of revenue, DRDA, forest, sales tax, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has also benefited from these programs. Social & Voluntary Organisations and Educational Institutes
Aakar has also extensively worked with organisations like Rotary Club, Lions Club, Medical Association, Jain Social Group, Dada Bhagwan Foundation, , Brahmakumaris, Bochasanwasi Akshar Purushottam Sansthan (BAPS). It has also worked with Madhav International School, South Gujarat University, North Gujarat University, Nirma University for their professors and teachers. It has also worked with Agakhan Foundation, Center for Environment Education, SEWA, Deepak Foundation, Shroff Foundation, Marag and Saath to name a few.
