AIC Anand Foundation AAU Sparks Entrepreneurial Spirit among Rural & Tribal Women Students under its Futurepreneur-ખોજ Initiative at Nardipur, Kalol
As part of Futurepreneur-ખોજ @ Gujarat, an initiative of AIC Anand Foundation of Anand Agricultural University, Anand, designed to inspire rural youth and build a vibrant startup ecosystem across the state under the visionary guidance of Dr. K. B. Kathiria, Hon. Vice Chancellor, Anand Agricultural University, Anand, a special two-day programme titled “Cultivating Women Entrepreneurs in the Agri-Food Sector” was organized for the female students of Mahila Gram Vidhyapith, Gram Seva Mandir, Nardipur village, Taluka Kalol, District Gandhinagar.
On the first day, the AAU team visited the Vidhyapith at Nardipur Village. Mr. Nikunj Soni, CEO of AIC Anand Foundation of AAU, conducted an interactive workshop motivating the participants to think beyond conventional career paths and explore entrepreneurship as a powerful means of self-reliance and rural transformation. He shared real-life examples of women-led startups supported by AAU, encouraging the students to believe in their own potential. Each student was also provided with the Futurepreneur Diary, a simple yet thoughtful tool to nurture creativity and entrepreneurial thinking.
On the second day, the students and faculty members visited AIC Anand Foundation, where they took part in an innovation workshop. The session, conducted by Dr. Jignesh Macwan, Assistant Manager, featured engaging activities designed to spark creativity, problem-solving, and entrepreneurial curiosity. Students worked in teams to brainstorm ideas, develop simple prototypes, and present their concepts, showcasing the spirit of innovation.
The programme engaged 45 young female students from rural and tribal backgrounds, along with faculty members of the Bachelor of Rural Studies (BRS) programme. It concluded on an uplifting note, with participants gaining confidence and fresh perspectives on startup and entrepreneurship. The initiative served as a meaningful step toward motivating rural women to be future entrepreneurs and drive the economic progress of Gujarat’s villages and tribal communities.
