Today’s Export News: Opportunities for Indian Exporters & MSMEs

1.FTA outreach programme in Hyderabad today

An export outreach programme is scheduled at T-Hub Phase 2, Hyderabad, from 2:30 PM IST. Sessions cover agriculture, textiles, engineering, electronics, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and gems and jewellery.

Opportunity: Exporters and startups can learn about trade agreements, rules of origin and sector-specific market access. Confirm registration before attending.

2. Export factoring support simplified for MSMEs

DGFT’s 26 October update simplifies procedures for support under export factoring, including removal of the separate UIN requirement and claims linked to the exporter’s IEC. Eligible MSMEs can use factoring support alongside export-credit interest support, subject to conditions preventing duplicate claims.

Opportunity: Businesses offering buyers credit periods can explore factoring to improve cash flow and finance subsequent orders.

3. RELIEF support extended until 31 March 2027

The Commerce Ministry’s 26 October announcement confirms the extension of RELIEF Component II. It provides eligible shipments to specified regions with 95% risk coverage through ECGC, alongside protection against increases in premiums beyond pre-disruption levels.

Opportunity: Exporters serving West Asian markets should check eligibility with ECGC before finalising shipment and insurance arrangements.

4. RoDTEP benefits continue through December

An earlier update remains relevant: the government has extended RoDTEP until 31 December 2026, with existing notified rates and value caps continuing during the extension.

Opportunity: Eligible exporters can factor applicable duty remission into their costing to prepare more competitive overseas quotations. Check the benefit for your product’s HS code.
