As per an old document survey published in 1993 about BADLAPUR.
by seeing population number you can easily get an idea of the time of badlapur, when it was just a small village .....

The three rural settlements, Temghar, Talimghar and Badlapur together make the existing Badlapur. The population of the village is about 2300. There are about 32 communities living in Badlapur. They include Brahman, Gowardhan, Maratha, Kunbi, Mahar, Chambhar, Muslims etc. Gowardhan and Muslim communities settled here much earlier than Brahman community. Mokashi and Oak are the two prominent families in the Brahman community in this village.

Badlapur: The next hot destination in MMR (Mumbai Metropolitan Region)

With Mumbai experiencing fast residential growth in almost all areas, the next logical step is the expansion of Mumbai into MMR or the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. While the real growth would take some time to materialize in this region, this could well be the time for smart money to move into these areas.

We at Estatelister believe the Badlapur could emerge as the next major hub after the success of Vashi, Virar, and Panvel.

Other than this, what helps Badlapur the most is its to Mumbai, Pune, Navi Mumbai/Panvel, Dombivali and Kalyan.

Shiva Temple

The neighboring town of Ambarnath has a famous Seventh Century Shiva Temple constructed in a 'Hemad' style, also known as Hemadpanthi sculpture, which is around 12 km from Badlapur. You have to trvel just 20 min by walking or 7 min by auto.
Satsang Vihar

Sri Sri Thakur Anukulchandra Satsang's Ashram is in Hendrepada, Kulgaon area.
GaonDevi Temple

GaonDevi Temple is situated just 10-12 Mins Walking or 5 Mins by an Auto to the East of Badlapur. There is another Temple of Lord Shiva which is situated near the Lake. Recently the said Gaondevi Temple is restructured very beautifully at the site. Every year in the month of March-April or on the day of Hanuman Jayanti ( Birth of Lord Hanuman) Yatra is held. Palkhi for the same starts from Patil Pada and ends at Temple. This Palkhi procession is really impeccable and worth to be seen.
