When ErgoTalent was founded in 2015, we were a small team with a well-defined vision, confidence, and eagerness to grow. Today, ErgoTalent is officially turning seven. After seven years of hard work, we are just as enterprising and ambitious as we started. Our journey has had its ups and downs, but we persevered. We celebrated our wins, took stock of the situation if things went wrong, learned from each mistake, supported each other during hard times, and pressed the accelerator pedal. We have gained more experience and strengthened our skills and collaborations.

Celebrating seven years of ErgoTalent is all about our colleagues, clients, partners, friends, and family – everyone who made the company's success possible. I want to thank all colleagues for their dedication and patience in delivering quality to our clients, which sets us apart as a firm that drives its business through knowledge and expertise. Moreover, it is a great pleasure to collaborate with our stakeholders. Due to their confidence and trust, ErgoTalent has carved a niche as a professional organization within a short span of time. Thank you to all who have supported ErgoTalent on its way to success. I am very proud of what we've achieved together.

The current times have caused a considerable churn in the talent market, and most organizations and employees are facing skill gaps due to rapidly changing job roles. Over the two years, the pandemic has forced the global workforce to re-evaluate its relationship with work. In the continuing debate about great resignation and retention, many people miss the critical point that there has been a massive shift in the job requirements, and many employees and employers are grappling with the issue of skill gaps. The job market requirements changed so rapidly that many employees could not quickly skill up to match the criteria leading to burnout. With technological advances, many employees also realized they have the skillsets and experience to begin their own venture or work as freelancers.

Hiring managers and HR professionals are facing unprecedented challenges because of this. Full-time employees are leaving, and organizations are discovering that it is difficult to find replacement talent to fill these gaps; managers and directors are leaving their companies at a greater rate than entry-level employees. These are roles that require years of experience and knowledgeable candidates.

To tackle this issue, organizations must provide employees with opportunities to upskill while embracing flexibility, autonomy, and hybrid work. Companies should set up a robust learning program to build a talent pipeline. They also need to adopt new, and perhaps for most firms, unconventional ways of tapping into talent such as contract staffing and working with freelancers. Every year in India, we celebrate the arrival of spring and victory of good over evil by celebrating Holi, the festival of colors. The atmosphere is colorful and vibrant, symbolizing love, joy, a feeling of belonging, and togetherness. Festivals such as Holi allow us to recognize, acknowledge, and celebrate our diversity and send a much-needed reminder for today’s society and workplaces alike. As the focus on diversity equality and inclusion has continued to rise in the organizations in the past several years, corporates can take inspiration from the spirit of Holi.

An organization that aims to bring diversity and collaborative values to its hybrid workplace will aim to build a culture where the feeling of belonging and community is fostered among employees. The onus of making our workplace inclusive remains in our own hands. While the business leaders need to emphasize the significance of diversity, equality, and inclusion across the organization, making that vision a reality depends on each employee.
