Position/Role: 5 positions of web programmer

Location: Bangalore

Role Profile: PHP web development, Javascript, Ajax, interfacing with facebook, twitter, LinkedIn and social networks

Start Date: ASAP

The Opportunity
We are seeking Web Programmers to work at our Bangalore, office. The incumbent will be responsible for software development, on-going upgrades/fixes, reconfigurations, system-wide, with the objective of enhancing functionality. He / she will define, develop, and implement using agile software methodology systems as well as interface with users to identify issues/needs related to system requirements, then determine and implement solutions. The person will also work on other systems as needs arise.
Requirements
a. Highly Desirable:
Application support/development in a portal environment, along with good experience in developing PHP/JAVASCRIPT/AJAX/JQUERY based solutions-experience in coding and interfacing; experience supporting and interacting with users and the ability to work with people of varying technical skill levels and business functions in a team environment.
b. Technical:
Experience with PHP/Web Applications (most preferred)
Comfortable in working with third-party APIs (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.)
Knowledge of HTML /CSS standards
Knowledge of JAVASCRIPT & XML (AJAX)
Current/ongoing experience in PHP
Comfortable in working with an "Agile Software Development" methodology
c. Interpersonal:
The ideal candidate must possess excellent oral and written communications skills. In addition, exceptional problem-solving skills combined with an eagerness to learn the business are essential for success. The qualified candidate must also be able to work independently or in a team environment. Finally, this individual must enjoy working in a high performance development mode and possess strong skills in communicating with novice computer users

Top Ten Things You'll Never Hear from your Consultant

You're right; we're billing way too much for this.
Bet you I can go a week without saying "synergy" or "value-added".
How about paying us based on the success of the project?
This whole strategy is based on a Harvard business case I read.
Actually, the only difference is that we charge more than they do.
I don't know enough to speak intelligently about that.
Implementation? I only care about writing long reports.
I can't take the credit. It was Ed in your marketing department.
The problem is, you have too much work for too few people.
Everything looks okay to me. You really don't need me.
