Helix Private Limited was happy to partner with IEEE EMBS and Department of Biomedical Engineering at Sri Ramakrishna Engineering college, Coimbatore for a two-day workshop on - " Advanced Respiratory Simulation and Critical Care Instrumentation "organized last week.
Our test and respiratory simulation specialists, Mr. Dinesh Kumar and Mr. J, Purushothaman joined as speakers for this interactive workshop which covered theoretical and hands on sessions so as to empower students with real time working and applications of advanced respiratory, test and simulation equipment.
The main equipment showcased in this program included Gas Flow analyzers from Fluke Biomedical as well as RespiPlus breathing simulator from IngMar Medical.
Breathing simulators are an exceptionally useful aid in imparting knowledge about critical care patient management, as they offer a very comprehensive and versatile inbuilt library of respiratory scenarios and conditions which virtually mimic patient conditions in a very precise manner. Close to 5000, well researched patient scenarios /simulations are made available in the IngMar breathing Simulator.
The role of defibrillator analyzers and ventilator testers is crucial in the upkeep of critical care equipment, thereby making it possible to maintain very high levels of patient safety.
The main objective of the workshop was to enable students to fine tune their knowledge and skills with a hands-on equipment experience.
The students who participated in this workshop showed exceptional interest and enthusiasm, which made it a very joyful interaction and knowledge sharing session.
