To err is human, but to ▶️ repeat those mistakes again and again for long are cardinal sins. Reflecting on 𝗥𝗖𝗕'𝘀 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀, here are my observations and suggestions for a turnaround:
1️⃣ Cardinal Sin: Expecting 2-3 expensive to deliver consistently in every match. Cricket is a team sport, and success lies in a well-balanced squad.
2️⃣ Cardinal Sin: 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵. T20 cricket demands innovation, and a straight bat coach like Sanjay Bangar is a man caught in the wrong. Maybe a short format specialist like Yusuf Pathan can assist him. ▶️ Appoint talent who understands the format intricately.
3️⃣ Cardinal Sin: 𝗜𝗺𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗱. Lack of finishers, all-rounders, and a weak lower order. Build a strong and versatile team composition.
4️⃣ Cardinal Sin: 𝗡𝗲𝗴𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁. Leverage home advantage by nurturing and showcasing players familiar with conditions. It strengthens fan loyalty.
Here's the game plan for RCB's resurgence:
🚀 Control spending, prioritize local talent, and maintain a balanced budget.
🚀 Invest in talent scouts with a keen eye for potential at all levels, including local, regional, and international cricket.
🚀 Catch them young. Allocate resources for comprehensive training, focusing on young talents, mental conditioning, and exposure to local matches.
🚀 Embrace Shiv Khera's philosophy: ▶️"Winners don't do different things. They do things differently." May be a day’s session with him with the entire team and support staff might help.
In sports or business, diverse perspectives matter. Consider hiring a strategist to optimize team performance.📈
