Split House | Bengaluru, Karnataka
Located on an east-facing corner plot in a dense neighbourhood of Bengaluru, Split House responds to a site defined by constraint. Flanked by built edges to the west and north, and exposed to busy roads along the south and east, the plot offered little in terms of conventional vistas. Traffic, dust and the adjacency of a school further intensified the need for privacy and acoustic control.
The solid mass is clad in Gwalior Mint Stone, using a combination of sandblasted and honed finishes to create subtle texture and depth across the facade.
