Complaint Against NoBroker – Misleading Charges and Service Experience
I have been a NoBroker member for the last 5–6 years for rental property searches. Recently, after registering again on the app, I started receiving multiple calls from NoBroker staff and Relationship Managers promising to help shortlist properties and arrange visits.
However, my experience has been completely different from what was promised. They claim to provide direct owner connections, but instead, their Relationship Managers and field executives handle the entire process. They arrange property visits through their own staff, and after showing the property, only when the customer shows interest, they suddenly inform that commission/charges have to be paid.
The field executive and Relationship Manager both demanded charges, which is against the expectation created while registering for a “NoBroker” service. They do not connect customers directly with property owners, and there are concerns that rental prices are also being increased during the process.
The company promotes itself as a platform without brokerage, but now it appears to be following a similar model to other property portals by charging customers after attracting them with different promises.
I escalated this matter to the management/MD level, but there has been no proper resolution, no owner connection, and no satisfactory response.
Customers should be careful and verify all charges and terms before paying for such services. Transparency and clear communication should be maintained instead of misleading customers.
Request: NoBroker should investigate this practice, clarify their actual service model, and ensure customers are not charged unexpectedly after being promised owner direct contact.
