Our CEO, Amita Jalan, has stepped down from her role at TrainCraft to dedicate more time to her family. Yesterday, we gathered in Bangalore for a farewell lunch with some of our current and former learning partners.

The event was a mix of emotions, beautifully captured in the attached pictures.

For the past eight years, Amita Jalan has been synonymous with TrainCraft. She has played a pivotal role in growing the business, refining processes, building strong client relationships, and mentoring learning partners to deliver impactful learning solutions. An exceptional facilitator herself, she has profoundly influenced numerous lives—our client stakeholders, workshop participants, learning partners, and colleagues alike.

During the lunch, we performed special rituals to honor and bless Amita as she embarks on her next journey. The afternoon was filled with laughter, tears, fond memories, and heartfelt wishes.

As we move forward Saparna Jain will take over operations supported by our incredible learning partners who have generously extended their support.

Amita, your legacy at Traincraft is invaluable, and while you will be deeply missed, we send you off with gratitude and best wishes for this new phase of life. 💙

"If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together." – African Proverb .

We recently conducted a session on Building relationships which leads to fruitful and innovative collaborations. The session was a great success with amazing feedbacks and happy faces.

It feels great when the content which we nurture over weeks drives home the point and enriches a group of people.

With the Summer Vacations approaching for our kids, I am reminded of my childhood. Typically, on the last day of the exam, upon returning back home, I remember getting hold of loads of sketch pens and crayons and colouring sheets and sheets of pages.

The Pen and the pencil was replaced by these colourful pens. It gave me immense joy. I didn't realise that i will get back to colouring at this age as well. Nowadays, we have these Pattern Colouring Books and i get excited everytime I sit to colour them. It awakens the child in me and brings inner joy and peace.

Among all the brand ads that were released this Women's Day, the one that particularly caught our attention was this Ad by Tanishq.

The unique thing about it was that it touched upon the Mental Model that we all live by around being or visualising a "Super Woman". It is always interpreted as a Compliment. It can also be seen as an "Expectation" is what this Ad brings to the fore.

It did open a window in our minds....Being a Superwoman can be more of an expectation than a compliment. What is it for you?

Meet the superwoman! She can do just about everything and crush it everywhere, all at once- and she has an important reminder for us ✨

Thursdaythoughts

While working on a presentation for an upcoming session on Result Orientation, we came across a quote that has stayed with us since yesterday- "Nothing will work unless you do".

It is such a simple arrangement of works but makes so much sense. There is no alternate to hard work and working towards a goal.

We love these ads by the brand "boat". It asks us to move our eyes and thoughts towards the sports in focus rather than the gender of the person playing it.

As we celebrated Women's Day just days back, this recent article in a leading newspaper gives us more reasons to celebrate.

The article highlights how the funding raised by Women led startups in 2022 has increased from 2021. In 2021, around 7.8% of the funding pie went to women led startups, whereas it was 13.4% in the year 2022. A fantastic growth indeed!!

When was the last time, as a leader you solicited feedback? When was the last time , as a leader you asked your team what impact you were having on them? On how was the idea you shared ? Or how did they feel about the manner in which you gave feedback?

These questions were the rumination of a session today with senior managers in an IT organization.

As a group, we collectively discovered how the higher you climb, the less feedback you receive.

And yet leadership researchers Jack Zenger and Joe Folkman found that leaders who requested feedback the least (in the bottom 10%) were ranked at the 15th percentile in overall leadership effectiveness. On the other hand, leaders who requested feedback the most (among the top 10%) were ranked at the 86th percentile in leadership effectiveness. Folkman concluded “The best leaders… ask more people for feedback and they ask for feedback more often.”

A pensive Friday to end with and hopefully food for thought for these 7 leaders who engaged with their full presence today.

Last year, one of our clients had a requirement for a women's only intervention, which got us ticking. We have done 2 batches of the same and very recently started with 2 more batches for the same.

This journey for us has been like the flowing river, which adds and grows in it's path. It gains so much in its journey and ultimately becomes the ocean. We have started our current batches by adding 2 new facilitators who have been with us for quite sometime.

Just like the flowing river, these new additions are helping us grow and adding value to this journey
