Hi everyone! I’m Sujaya Mahesh, Founder and Creative Director of Sameeksha Studio & School of Embroidery, Bangalore, India.

I’m absolutely elated to be part of Selvedge Magazine’s London Textile Month 2026.

On Friday, 11th September, I’ll be joining the Out of Fashion: Circular & Craft event a day of inspiring talks, conversations and hands-on workshops celebrating circularity, sustainability and craftsmanship.

The event will feature some wonderful voices in circular fashion, including , , and , alongside a fantastic range of workshops led by makers and artists.

I’m especially excited to be facilitating a Kaudi Hand Quilting workshop from Karnataka, India.

Bring along your favourite fabric scraps and learn the traditional art of hand quilting. You’ll get to create your own piece, add your personal creativity, and take your project home with you.

It’s such an honour to bring a traditional craft from Karnataka to an international platform and share the beauty of Indian textile heritage.
