This is the fourth post in the series of tips for career success.
Many of us believe that once we enter a specific job field, we’re gonna be stuck in it the till we retire. Nothing could be farther from truth. It’s perfectly okay to switch careers if you’re not satisfied with the current one. It may seem a bit daunting and a nearly impossible task but if you have a clear idea about where to switch, and have invested enough time in researching, introspecting, and evaluating, you should be able to do it without any snags.
One of the smartest things to do if you’re serious about your career is joining associations and groups relating to your industry. It keeps you updated with the latest developments in the industry and is also an excellent arena for networking.
Turning down an opportunity to attend a training course is one of the career blunders you can commit. Not only will you send a negative message to the management by doing so but also lose out on a golden opportunity to upgrade yourself.
Keeping your CV updated always is a no-brainer, right? 🙃Yet many of us procrastinate the task.
When you consider taking up a new job, money or remuneration alone should not be the parameter. It’s important to consider your professional goal, value-addition to your resumé, opportunities for skill development, etc. before you opt for such a job.
We look forward to your feedback/thoughts/suggestions on our posts.🙂🙂🙂
