Wayfinding What’s Next? — Bringing Innovation Practice to the Classroom
Innomantra Leadership at Institute of Management Technology, Nagpur
On 17th August 2026, Mr. Lokesh Venkataswamy, CEO & Managing Director, Innomantra, was invited to Institute of Management and Technology, Nagpur to engage with more than 250 postgraduate students on a topic: “Wayfinding What’s Next? The Strategic Imperative for Growth in the GenAI Era.” As part of the Strategic Management course led by Prof. Dr. Shyam Sreekumaran Nair, Associate Professor, Strategy, Economics and General Management, the session brought a real-world practitioner’s perspective into the classroom, connecting strategic frameworks with the challenges leaders face while navigating AI, innovation, growth and evolving business models.
Rather than viewing GenAI simply as a technology story, the discussion explored it as a strategic inflection point—one that is compelling organisations to rethink how they create value, build capabilities and prepare for an uncertain future. Drawing on industry experiences, real-world examples and practical insights, the interaction encouraged students to look beyond theory and ask a fundamental question: How do we turn strategic thinking into action? A stimulating exchange with tomorrow’s leaders—and a reminder that some of the most valuable learning happens when theory meets practice, and curiosity meets experience.
