Nithin has always been the one who wants to run marathons, sign up for races and see how far he can push himself. I’ve always been very happy just staying fit, being active and feeling good 🤭

So doing a HYROX was very much me entering Nithin Koshy 🌱’s world a little bit.

And I’m so glad I did. It was definitely hard even though he did most of the heavy lifting but I came out of it wanting to do it again, train better and see what more I can do next time. Which, coming from me, is saying a lot 🤭

I think that’s one of the nicest things about doing life with someone. Sometimes they get you to try things you would never have chosen for yourself, and you end up being a little better for it ❤️

I talk about being vegan a lot but I don’t think I talk enough about what it does to you emotionally.

You become so aware. Of everything. The hens crammed into cages outside a shop. Animals packed into trucks. A dog on the street that everyone else seems to walk past. A tiny insect struggling somewhere. The videos of animals being dragged, hit or terrified. Even everyday choices that most people don’t think twice about start to feel different when you know what sits behind them.

And that awareness doesn’t seem to stop with animals either. At least it hasn’t for me. I feel like I’ve become more sensitive to suffering in general. Animals, people, anything living. You notice things you probably wouldn’t have noticed before and you feel them so much more deeply

Most days I’m emotionally drained and exhausted 💔

I do talk about veganism and animal rights here but I don’t really show this part. The moments when something I’ve seen stays in my head all day. When I feel helpless or angry or just incredibly sad about how casually we can treat another living being’s suffering.

I’m very lucky to have a vegan partner like Nithin Koshy 🌱 who understands why these things affect me the way they do. But a lot of it is still something I sit with quietly.

I suppose becoming this aware has been both a blessing and a curse. Sometimes I wish I could switch it off for a little while. But I also know I would never want to go back to seeing less, feeling less, or caring less for every animal that shares this planet with us 💔

PSA your homepage really doesn’t need to explain everything 👀

It just needs to help someone understand what you do, whether it’s for them, and why they should keep going.

That’s also how we think about websites at now media / branding agency | design studio | AI automation Not just how they look, but what actually needs to be on there, what a customer needs to know, and how to make it easier for them to take the next step.

A good website should make your business feel clearer, not more complicated.

We work together, live together and somehow still decided that training together for HYROX INDIA was a good idea too 🤭

But it’s been really nice having something completely different to work towards together. Getting fitter, getting stronger and pushing each other a little more than we probably would on our own.

A lot of mornings at Invictus Performance Lab with Vignesh getting us ready for this, and now we’re 2 weeks out.

Can’t quite believe we’re actually doing this together.

More isn’t always more when you’re building a brand.

One of the harder parts of our job at now media / branding agency | design studio | AI automation is actually knowing what not to use.

You can have ten good ideas, five great colours and three typefaces you love. They still don’t all need to make it into the brand.

The question is: what’s actually worth keeping?

Because the fewer things you choose, the harder those things can work for you.

After working on 250+ brands at now media / branding agency | design studio | AI automation, this is something I’ve seen founders struggle with a lot.

When it’s your business, everything feels important. The story, the process, the details, everything that makes you different. So naturally, you want your brand to communicate all of it.

But good branding is also about knowing what to leave out.

So here’s something to do for your own brand:
What are the 3 things you want someone to understand about your business?
What are the 3 things you want them to remember?
And what should make them choose you?

If you can’t answer those easily, that’s probably a good place to start.
