I’m returning to professional photography after a few years away, with fresh eyes and new equipment!

I learned photography in my teens on an old Nikon film camera, from my father (he was a professional photographer in India). It was a hobby for many years until I went pro from 2011.

I specialize in candid wedding photography, couple shoots and family portraiture. I really enjoyed capturing the emotions in colorful and vibrant Indian weddings. I've also done fashion, movies & short films, sports, and wildlife too.

I developed my style focusing capturing raw, authentic emotions that tell a story. After a solid 5-6 years, I took a long break due to a change in my career to software engineering and then to teaching meditation & mindfulness (which I continue to do).

Now, here on the Big Island in Hawai'i, I'm inspired by the natural beauty of these islands to jump back in again.

Ramya Bhaskar of Bangalore tied the knot with Sanglap Ghosh from Kolkata in a beautiful ceremony which had elements from the East and the South

On 29th of January they got hitched and lived happily ever after :)

My first attempt at this kind of photography. I have shot birds before, but not snakes and frogs till now. It was a great learning experience.

All pictures clicked during an expedition to Sharavathi Rainforest in June 2014.
Normally people run away from snakes. We on the other hand, ran after them! Suhas Premkumar, Girish Gowda and Preetham AS did a great job catching them while taking care not to hurt them. I handled a green vine snake too. With the guidance of Suhas Premkumar, who conducted the expedition.

Feel free to suggest names of species if I've mentioned them wrong. I'm not an expert at this yet :)
