Tips to Ace the RRB 2014 Written Exam:

First of all, there is no shortcut to success, especially in such a highly competitive exam. You need to focus on your seriousness, to get selected for this job and work accordingly with persistence.

First Pick the areas out of the prescribed exam syllabus, you have more interest in and work on it to achieve perfection. The subjects of interests, tend to fetch more marks.

Read and stick to NCERT books thoroughly for general ability and mathematic section and focus onlearning fundamentals.

Memorize names and formulas on regular basis, save them in your smartphone notepad or make a handy sheetnote of all important names, formulas etc, so that you can carry it along and scan your eyes on it to revise them during free time, such as traveling, eating, in toilet etc.

The fun part is reasoning ability, which is no less than an interesting mental game, riddle, puzzle etc. Project your attitude as fun activity towards reasoning ability section and make sure to attempt it for a minimum of 30 minutes daily. Pick a good complete book for it, which must have both verbal and non-verbal question banks. The more you solve the more acquainted you will be with such questions during exams and will be able to solve them in a jiffy.

Create a time-table for preparing each section, as every section is equally important to reach to the cut-off for next round. Doing a section for one day in wek and not touching it again for weeks is to cheat yourself and will ruin all your hard-work till date. So persistently each section must be attempted without a long gap

After you thought that you have learnt enough and are well-prepared, you must then assess yourself. A person with the right attitude toward success always tests itself by attempting mock tests and solving question banks, while sticking to the prescribed syllabus. It is sensible to buy few good books, containing model test papers, that must belong to different authors and publishing houses. Attempt questions from them to see if you are scoring well in all sections, if not then that indicates you need to prepare more in a particular section you are scoring less in or are weak at.

Few good RRB Books and mock tests, recommended by experts to make you well-prepared for RRB 2014 examinations are: 1. Railway Recruitment Board Exam Asst Loco Pilot Technician III Hindi (Paperback), by Author: R Gupta 2. RRB CC/TC Exam Solved Papers (Paperback), by Author: RPH Editorial Board 3.
