Title: Field Application Engineer - Pre sales support
Role:
Responsible for supporting sales activity and deal flow by securing the “technical close” in complex solutions and for providing pre sales support to the prospect base.

Provide the technical support resources to ensure proposed deals include technical solutions that accurately address customer needs, and are appropriately supported by key customer technical decision-makers.

Responsibilities:

Support with technical qualification of sales opportunities

Demonstrate how a product meets client needs;

Persuade clients that a product or service best satisfies their needs in terms of quality, price and delivery.

Deliver ROI to provide requirement and impetus from stakeholders ;

Provide initial after-sales support services to ensure product is correctly installed and working to clients expectation;

Assist in meeting regular sales targets and coordinating technical requirement to sales projects;

Support marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events;

Knowledge and Expertise:

Development Background
Programming language skills (C and C++) is required.
Experience of compilation/make systems integration would be an advantage.
Understanding of implementation of software development life cycle
Knowledge of tools used in software testing and verification

Experience
5+ years experience.
Previous customer facing experience is required

Platform/OS Knowledge
Experience of both Windows and Linux
Shell application programming (Python, Perl or Bash) would be an advantage.
