• Timeline: Typically takes 25 to 30 days, depending on the state and how fast the university responds.

How the Process Works

1. University Verification: The state HRD or Education Department often sends the certificate back to the issuing university or board to confirm it is authentic (“found and verified”).

2. State HRD Stamp: Once confirmed, the respective state’s HRD/Education Department stamps and signs the document.

3. Next Stages: The document is then forwarded to the MEA Center for central authentication and the destination country’s embassy.
