NATIONAL LEVEL HERITAGE CAMP – HAMPI

Organised by:District Scouts and Guides Association, Vijayanagar District
Venue:Hampi, Vijayanagar District, Karnataka
Date: 7th–9th September 2026
Participating Unit: JGND Bharatesh Ranger and Rovers Crew, Belagavi
Participants: 10 Rangers and Rovers

The **Ranger and Rovers Crew of our institute** actively participated in the
**National Level Heritage Camp at Hampi**, organised by the District Scouts and Guides Association, Vijayanagar District,
from 7th to 9th September 2026.

During the three-day camp, the participants explored the magnificent heritage sites of Hampi and gained valuable knowledge about the **history, architecture and cultural heritage of the Vijayanagara Empire**. The programme created awareness about the importance of preserving India's historical monuments and cultural legacy.

The Rangers and Rovers also participated enthusiastically in
**heritage walks, educational activities, team-building exercises, cultural programmes, campfire, recreational activities and fellowship programmes**.
Interaction with Scouts, Guides, Rangers and Rovers from different places promoted friendship, cultural exchange and national integration.

The camp helped the participants develop **team spirit, leadership, discipline, communication skills, confidence and a sense of responsibility towards heritage conservation**.

Overall, the Heritage Camp was an
**enriching, educational and memorable experience**,
providing the participants with meaningful learning beyond the classroom and strengthening the values of the Scout and Guide Movement.

MY BHARAT – VBYLD QUIZ COMPETITION

The NSS Unit of our institute organised a My Bharat – Viksit Bharat Youth Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD) Quiz Competition for the students and NSS volunteers.
The programme was conducted in the presence of Mr. Sangram Sawant, District Youth Officer, NYKS–My Bharat, Smt. Neeta Gangaraddi, Principal, Shri Mallayya Karadi, and Shri Yallappa Dhabali, NSS Programme Officer.
During the programme, Mr. Sangram Sawant, District Youth Officer, NYKS–My Bharat, explained the importance and benefits of VBYLD to the students. He highlighted that VBYLD provides young people with opportunities to develop leadership qualities, express innovative ideas, participate in national development, and contribute actively to the vision of a Viksit Bharat. He encouraged the students and NSS volunteers to actively participate in My Bharat activities and make use of the opportunities available through the platform.
The NSS volunteers actively participated in the quiz competition with great enthusiasm and interest. The competition helped the students enhance their general awareness, knowledge, leadership skills, confidence, patriotism, and spirit of active participation in nation-building.
The programme was successfully organised with the guidance and support of the Principal, District Youth Officer, NSS Programme Officer, faculty members, and NSS volunteers.

The M.Com students of our institute organized a special Teachers’ Day Celebration today with great enthusiasm, love and gratitude.

The NSS Unit of our institute celebrated Raksha Bandhan with the Pourakarmikas and staff of Belagavi City Corporation, Ward No. 9.

The programme was attended by
Smt. Pooja, Shri Endrujit Patil – Health Inspector, Shri Anand Pimpre, Dr. Rudrappa Aralimati, Smt. Aishwarya Matapatti, and Shri Yallappa Dhabali, NSS Programme Officer.

Around 45 girl NSS volunteers actively participated in the celebration. The volunteers tied Rakhis to the Pourakarmikas, expressing gratitude and respect for their valuable contribution to keeping the city clean and healthy.

The programme created a beautiful brother-sister emotional bond between the NSS volunteers and the Pourakarmikas and promoted the values of social harmony, equality, respect, gratitude and community service.
