If he ever saw an Orphan Crying, he would stop whatever he was doing, bend down, give the child his salaam, wipe away the child's tears, put his hand on the child's shoulder and say, "My child, why are you crying? Has someone hurt you?" Hugging the child, Imam Ali used to take them to his home and treat them better than any father. He would bring the child food, milk and honey and fed the child with his own hands. Even in his final Will, he requested to take care of the Orphans!
