Antimicrobial resistance is one of the greatest global health challenges of our time. As harmful microorganisms continue to evolve, traditional solutions are becoming less effective—creating an urgent need for innovative, science-driven approaches. This is where nanotechnology makes a difference.

At the nanoscale, materials gain unique properties that can revolutionize healthcare, sanitation, and environmental protection. From advanced medical coatings to next-generation disinfectants, antimicrobial nanotechnology is shaping the future of disease prevention.

Recognizing this critical need, KIIT-TBI, in collaboration with the
I-STEM Portal and Bhubaneswar City Knowledge Innovation Cluster Foundation, presents a 2-Day Hands-on Workshop on “Antimicrobial Nanotechnology: From Lab to Application.” This initiative is designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world impact.

Over two immersive days, participants will gain hands-on experience in nanoparticle synthesis, characterization, and antimicrobial testing—while learning directly from domain experts. The workshop offers a complete journey from scientific concepts to practical applications and innovation opportunities.

KIIT-TBI concluded a workshop “IP 360°: Safeguarding Innovation in Startups”, bringing together over 60 students, founders, researchers, and industry professionals for an engaging and insightful learning experience. The session focused on transforming innovative ideas into valuable intellectual assets by building strong awareness around Intellectual Property Rights, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and designs.

Participants gained practical exposure through real-world case studies, discussions on common IP pitfalls, live demonstrations on AI-assisted patent drafting, and a guided walkthrough of patent filing portals.

We were happy to host experts from Lex Protector—Mr. Aurobinda Panda, Founder & Managing Partner, Mr. Satyakam Baliarsingh, Legal Associate, and Mr. Er. Sudeepta Sarkar, Tech Lead, whose industry-driven insights and interactive sessions made the workshop truly impactful.

Aligned with the objectives of the MeitY TIDE 2.0 Scheme, the program encouraged early adoption of IP strategies among startups and research-driven ventures, reinforcing the importance of safeguarding innovation for long-term success.

🚀 Aerospace & Defence Innovation Sprint 2026 | Event Wrap-Up

KIIT-TBI successfully concluded the Aerospace & Defence Innovation Sprint 2026, a platform designed to foster student-led deep-tech innovation in the aerospace and defence sectors.

The sprint witnessed high-quality idea pitches, prototypes, and demos, evaluated by an esteemed panel of experts from academia and industry. Each team demonstrated strong engineering intent, creativity, and a drive to build solutions with real-world impact.
