The Tamil Nadu Association of Professional Detectives & Investigators (TAPDI), established in 2023, is proudly completing three years of dedicated service to the professional detective fraternity in Tamil Nadu. Since its inception, the Association has been committed to promoting ethical investigation practices, professional excellence, and public confidence in the private investigation industry.
The Association's Half-Yearly General Meeting was held on Saturday, 25th July, at a leading hotel in Chennai. Members from Chennai and various districts across Tamil Nadu attended the meeting, which commenced at 4.30 p.m. with the traditional Tamil Thai Vazhthu and concluded at 8.30 p.m. with the singing of the National Anthem.
The gathering brought together experienced private investigators from diverse fields of specialization. Many members are retired officers from the Police, Armed Forces, and other government services, bringing decades of expertise in investigation, intelligence gathering, and security.
The meeting began with members taking a solemn pledge to uphold the law, maintain the highest ethical standards, protect client confidentiality, and discharge their professional responsibilities with honesty, integrity, and impartiality. The discussions focused on emerging investigative methodologies, technological advancements, legal compliance, professional ethics, and best practices to enhance the quality of investigative services.
TAPDI has developed into a strong professional body with members possessing extensive experience in resolving matters relating to family disputes, corporate investigations, employee verification, insurance fraud, financial irregularities, asset verification, due diligence, surveillance, and various other investigative assignments.
The Association wishes to assure the public that engaging a detective who is a member of TAPDI provides an added level of confidence and accountability. Every member is expected to adhere to the Association's Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct. TAPDI has its own regulatory mechanism to address professional standards and ensure fairness to both clients and investigators.
The Association remains committed to strengthening the profession, promoting ethical investigation practices, and serving society through lawful, confidential, and professional investigative services.
For the public, choosing a TAPDI member means choosing professionalism, accountability, integrity, and trust.
