We at Meraki wrote this last year 2021.... Holds good in 2022 also...do read .. happy 2022!!!

New year resolutions!!!

It is by now universally accepted that new year resolutions do not last beyond the first two weeks of January. There is a joke doing the rounds on WhatsApp that advises you to start your morning walks, jogs and gym routines after the 6th of January to avoid the resolution rush!

This year though, things may be different. Everyone had a hard 2020 to get through. And there is not a person on this planet who is not wary of what 2021 will bring. What can one expect after a year that overturned everything one took for granted?

Knowing this, shouldn’t the resolutions you make this year be tuned to equipping you to face anything 2021 might throw at you?
Look back on 2020. What were the strengths that helped you get through that year?
Resilience, patience, adaptability, calmness of mind, a positive outlook; there are many qualities that spring to mind. At Meraki, we believe courage is a quality that needs mention. The courage to ask questions no matter how bad things are. The courage to walk down a path that seems to lead nowhere. The courage to seek answers when everything seems too dark. The courage to be the change when everything around is crazy. The courage to take decisions when it seemed easier to not make a move. Truly, it seems that courage deserves to be at the top of the list of what helped you get through 2020.

Maybe the resolution for 2021 should be to have the courage to get through whatever is waiting for you ahead. There could be easier times in store for you, there could be challenging times in store. Whatever it may be, resolve to have the courage to:
See the many possibilities for improvement and progress.
Find solutions for problems that have festered for long.
Overcome limitations and constraints.
Be optimistic and focus on actions required to make an impact.
Lead by example, lead by choice and lead by empathy.

Resolve to have the courage that even if you are afraid, you won’t let that fear stop you. Happy 2021 to all of you from Meraki!

At Meraki, we believe that training should be interactive, and all learners must be active participants rather than just passive absorbers of knowledge. Our training sessions provide a safe environment where the learners can take part in activities and test their decision-making skills, learn by trial and error and avoid mistakes that could affect real time workplace situations and prove costly to the company.

Interactive training at Meraki makes use of the following:

Activities that engage: When people find the content interesting and engaging, they are more likely to retain what they have learnt.

Use of gamification elements: Sessions make use of points, badges, small gifts, dashboards to inculcate a spirit of healthy competition and motivates learners to perform better.

Game based learning: Games can be fun but can help learners take serious decisions which they can safely replicate in the workplace. Group games enhance collaboration skills and teamwork.

Quizzes, tests and assessments: Quizzes and tests can be of 2 kinds, multiple choice or brief answers. Both help learners to develop an understanding of what they have been exposed to and gives the organisation and trainers an idea of how the learners are performing.

All these can be done in both offline and online mode, ensuring that training sessions never get boring, and learners are always enthusiastically waiting for the next session
