Quirk was launched in 2008 by Pranay Chulet. It was inspired by craigslist and started with the intention provide a platform for Indians to trade anything. Soon, they expanded into different ventures like QuikrHomes, Quikrjobs, etc. It became a unicorn in 2015 but its value got reduced by 45% by one of its investors in 2019 which made them lose its unicorn tag.
