Privilege to be invited for Leadership Lecture @ FIS Global Guindy on 31st Mar'16. The session is for 25 Senior managers about Leadership for an hour & above. I thought what I need to go with 1 hour session & decided to take this topic of "Simple Leadership".

Session went on great & I was eagerly waiting for the feedback of the session from Senior Managers who attended the session. Today the feedback results are out I scored 4 out of 5 which is really a great score for the session.

Pitch Smasher 2015 Unforgettable moments:

I am always proud of my team. This is a great team to associate with & very tough to play.

I am always proud to lead this team. Let us play professional & enjoy our play in 2016.

We have won many matches in 2015 & I am listing out 2015 most unforgettable moments which comes to deep of my mind & heart.
This is just to run back to our 2015 memories. If I missed out any of your unforgettable moments please add to this.

Sriram last over – 3 runs & 6 sixes in one over to win by fight team & he bowled an excellent over to finish the match with draw – Match against fight time. Great Bowling. Six sixes in an over came from Sriram from the team which we played last week 2nd match at that match sriram was 80 & our team score was 8 overs 180 runs. Great batting

Santhosh 80 – This match is the first match with fight team & they batted first scoring 147 in 10 overs. We chased & won that match in 8 overs with Santhosh classy 80. Great batting.

Sathish Babu 3 stumping & 4 catches with Siju team – SB opening stand for our team is always a gift for our team he keep one adding runs & his keeping as always superb. This was a great match we won in 2 balls. Smashing keeping by SB with 3 stumping of Raghu & Sriram & 4 catches in the same match – Excellent Keeping

Satish 50 – This match is also against fight team we were 8 overs 80 & the last 2 overs Satish played a great innings with 6 sixes & scores 148 of 10 overs. His contribution made to win that match - Great batting.

Raghu 40 – I have told enough about Raghu bowling he is with me from 2012 & he had won many matches by his great bowling but his Batting of 40 against shaji team with 3 sixes in partnership with Durai posted our score to 92 from 30 for 6 – Great Batting

Udhay 35 – We need 52 to win the last 2 overs with team which we used to play at our home ground (opposite team IT team). Durai & Udhay were in the grease – Udhay just landed to play in 9th over & his 35 with 4 sixes we won the match sparing 2 balls – Great Batting.

Raja 5 wickets haul – Raja is always a great batsman he proved that with many matches standing for crucial innings & winning matches in batting. On one fine Saturday as I promised I opened with Raja opening spell with our new opponent they are technology co. from mugaper. – Great Bowling

Vasanth 50 & His Excellent Bowling – Vasi always shows his great skill in bowling & we won many matches becoz of his bowling & this 50 is so special against fight team. We were 7 over 62 only 3 overs remaining vasi came to play gopal is the bowler he hit 5 sixes in 8th over & added a good score to 10 overs 157. Vasi 50 was a great knock. – Great batting.

Hemanth 108 – This is the 1st century from our team member which is against RBS. Hemanth & Sridhar were opening the match. Hemans classy 100 made our total to 10 overs 208. He hit 9 sixes in his 100 – Great batting.

Sridhar 75 – This match is against RBS were hemanth & Sridhar opened the match. Sridhar partnership with hemanth scored a great 75 with 7 sixes to it. This is great batting from Sridhar & good partnership stand from Sridhar. We scored 10 overs 208 with RBS – Great batting.

Lak 3 Overs 9 runs – 4 wickets – We all know he is a great bowler & he bowled great spells for our team. His bowling against a new team which we played 4 months before near ayyanar sillai made our opponent to check with me whether he is a league player. His great spell in that match with 3 overs 9 runs & 4 wickets was outstanding – Great bowling.

Sayanthan hatrick against RBS – He is always a great addition to our team & can bowl with great consistency at any over from 1st to 10th. This match was against RBS they lost with huge margin but Sayanthan 4 wickets was a great spell with Hatrick to it. - Great bowling.

Kaushik – Great spell against fight team 3 overs 7 runs 3 wickets: This was the 1st match kaushik played for our team against fight team. He & Vasi bowled an excellent spell of 1st 6 overs they were only 6 over 15 runs for 7 wickets & we bowled out them for 32 in 10 overs. Kaushik this specific spell with Vasi was great to see.

Vishal, Appu, Ganesh, Cheecha, Chotu, Koil, Aravind,Prasad: Appu is always a great contributor to our team his bowling is a great add on to our team. Vishal bowling adds great value to our team. Ganesh batting was superb & cheecha, Chotu fielding was nonstop. Koil as always a great fielder & motivator to our team. Aravind great spinner bowled some excellent slow balls.
Prasad great fielding adds great value to our team.

Durai : What a bowler his great spells won lot of matches in Apr’15 & May’15. His batting also won many matches to our team.

I use this phrase "Extended Family" with all my team members & also in all my team meetings.

Yes my team is my "Extended Family" if don't think like this then I will not behave as a leader.

Most Important character of a true leader in simple words "Taking care of your team". They spend almost 50 hours of the week with you in office & it is the duty of the leader to see they make them feel "Team as Extended Family".
Simple way to make them feel as your extended family :

Good Morning to your team members daily when they reach office

Understand their problem in reaching office due to transportation or a bad morning etc., if they are late give them one or two excuse then force them to be punctual

Be humorous with your team always in common topics

Wish them on their B'days & wedding days etc.,

Touch base with them when they need any personal help (if they require & it can be done by you. Ex : Blood donation requirement for a surgery etc.,)

Appreciate/Recognize their extra works if they put in to office or office work

Need to be in contact with all your team members daily so that they can feel as a leader you can reached at any time for help/suggestions/solution

Finally this is the best one I always love to do to prove my team is my extended family :

"During good times, bring out the best in your team. During tough times, take care of them.”
