With globalisation at its peak and growing, many corporate employees and fresh graduates have only one challenge. It's communication. Many find it difficult to communicate in English. When we probe a little more we find that they generally understand what others speak but are tongue tied when asked to reply. They are in, what you call in India as Trishanku swarga. Students think they know English but when asked to communicate, find it difficult.

Resilience is working to help people to speak in English in a short period of time. We have students who have improved in just 19 days.

The key to this success is in the simplicity of the programme.

Trishanku (त्रिशंकु) is a character in Hindu Itihasa. Trishanku is commonly referred to through mention of "Trishanku's heaven". The word Trishanku has come to denote a middleground or limbo between one's goals or desires and one's current state or possessions.

Communication seems to be the fundamental challenge for a large number of students in India. Many of these students continue to ignore this weakness and end up destroying their career. When they finally get into a job this weakness becomes their Achilles heel blocking their growth.
It is therefore better for one to become strong in his or her communication skills and use it as an impetus to springboard their career to a far better level than what they would have achieved otherwise. Unfortunately many lose their confidence to succeed along the way and end up blaming their fate or destiny.
Communication skill is an art of speaking, writing, listening, reading and understanding. Most people are born with an ability to talk, but we must learn to speak well and communicate effectively. Speaking, listening and our ability to understand verbal and non-verbal cues are the skills that we acquire by observing other people and modelling our behaviour on what we have seen and perceived. We are also taught some communication skills directly through education.
English communication is a skill that can be perfected only through constant practice and continuous exposure to the language. We at Resilience are sincerely strive hard to help the students to gain their confidence in their communication skills. This is one of the primary objectives of our organization.
We work to improve the communication skills of students in short period of time and succeed to a large extent when the student works sincerely by following the guidance of the instructor.

STRESS MANAGEMENT
Seeing the Humor
• Reading a funny story or joke can be a great way to make you laugh.
• Keeping a humorous calendar in your cubicle is a good way to have a laugh at hand, particularly if it’s the page-a-day type. Just make sure it’s appropriate and permitted in your office.
• Seeing the humor in a stressful situation can be difficult, but it can also help you put things in perspective. Try to imagine how the situation might appear from the outside, or how you might see it down the road.
• Sharing a laugh with friends and family is always a good pick-me-up. When sharing jokes at work, be sensitive to others, and make sure that what you’re sharing is appropriate.
Deep Breathing
Deep breathing is an excellent relaxation tool that can be adapted for almost any situation. It also has some physical benefits, including:
• Reduction in blood pressure
• Reduction in muscle tension
• Boost in metabolism
• Clearing of the mind
• Boost in endorphins (our natural painkillers)
The basic technique is just like it sounds: slowly breathe in through your nose, and then breathe out through your mouth. Try counting slowly as you do this. Each breath should take ten to twenty seconds. (You will be able to take longer breaths with practice.)
When you are in a stressful situation, it is easy to unobtrusively deep breathe to keep yourself cool. This will also help prevent some of the harmful physical effects of stress, since stress causes us to breathe faster, making our bodies work harder.
If you have a few moments to yourself, sit down, close your eyes, and spend a few minutes deep breathing. Deep breathing can also be used in conjunction with picturing your sanctuary or stretching.
Creating a Stress Log
A stress log can help you identify your major stressors, and it can help you identify trends in those stressors. Identifying the cause of stress can help you reduce the number and impact of stressors in your life, and it can help you manage the stress that does occur.
