FRP StorageTank
FRP tank is a kind of glass fiber reinforced plastic products. It mainly uses glass fiber as reinforcing agent and resin as adhesive. It is a new type of composite material. FRP tanks are corrosion-resistant, high-strength, light-weight, and long-lived. Because they also have the characteristics of flexible design and strong processability, they can be flexibly designed for use in different industries such as: chemicals, environmental protection, food, pharmaceuticals, etc. In the industry, it is gradually replacing most of the market segments of carbon steel and stainless steel.
Fiber winding glass fiber tank basic features
(1) Lightweight and high-strength
The relative density is between 1.5 and 2.0, only 1/4 to 1/5 of carbon steel, but the tensile strength is close to or even exceeds that of carbon steel, and the specific strength can be compared with that of high-grade alloy steel.
(2) Good corrosion resistance
FRP is a good corrosion resistant material, and it is more resistant to the atmosphere, water and general concentrations of acids, alkalis, salts, and a variety of oils and solvents. Has been applied to all aspects of chemical preservation, is replacing carbon steel, stainless steel, wood, non-ferrous metals.
(3) Good electrical performance
It is an excellent insulating material used to make insulators. It can still protect good dielectric properties at high frequencies.
(4) Good thermal performance
The thermal conductivity of FRP is low, and is 1.25~1.67kJ/(m·h·K) at room temperature. It is only 1/100~1/1000 of metal, and it is an excellent thermal insulation material.
