1. How multi-flora honey differ from natural raw hill honey?

Multi-flora honey is procured by bee keeping in limited area of land (eg. parks, nurseries, honey co-operatives, local farms). Multi-flora honey is collected from Apis Cerana Indica bees. During non floral season to avoid bee migration from bee boxes, honey bees are fed with sugar syrup and for their survival honey bees also are given antibiotics. These sugars cannot be detected through lab tests. So honey procured by this method of beekeeping cannot be considered natural and antibiotic free. Since bees are fed with sugar syrup, it is not suitable for diabetic patients as well. And also multi-flora honey is well processed, preservatives added thereby losing the properties of real actual honey.

What is KPM raw hill honey?

Every jar of our honey has a story. Where it was sourced, from what flowers, in what climate. Our honey is 100% pure and raw that comes from a blend of wildflowers blooming throughout the hill regions and is naturally sourced from South Indian forests, mainly from Nilgiris biosphere and bottled in our warehouse and delivered to you in the most pure and raw form. We also partner with local and regional tribal honey hunters residing in tribal settlements who operate within our vision and aggregate honey is also 100% raw gathered from wildflowers that spreads across hills/mountains and our single flower honey varieties (like Sunflower honey & Drumstick honey) which are seasonal, even more rarer - each with their own inspiring taste and story.

Our raw hill honey is made by the Giant Rock Bees (Apis Dorsata) collecting the nectar from wild flowers in the forests. The forest is rich in medicinal plants and this Honey in turn is has got highly medicinal values and can be used extensively for Ayurvedic treatments as well.

What is white foaming & thick brown layer formation that is visible on sides of our honey bottle?

White foaming and thick brown layer formation on top of our honey is a symbol of original, pure and unprocessed raw hill honey. Forests of South India has high percentage of humidity. Honey procured from these forests obviously will have some moisture content naturally. The water content of honey slowly forms a layer on top when exposed to atmosphere outside the honeycomb. Honey is hydroscopic and can absorb external heat as well as humidity. Thick layer formation is a small residue of pollen mixed with raw honey after filtration and has high medicinal and nutritional values.
