Is there scientific way to compute salary of Indian professionals based on their age,expertise,experiance and lastly their education ??The image is getting blurred with unrealistic expectations from both sides and I am truly stuck as a consultant with infact a painfully carrying the blame for negotiating or not negotiating,both ways :(. Most companies faces severe shortage of candidates with good communication skills which is a basic pre-requisite for any job.
Imagine a plane crashing due to pilot -ground staff mis-comm or nurse -doctor mis-comm in surgery.And all these instances have already happened India ,though percentage reported is low.
But after personally going through lot of candidates found that some select matric and state board schools have extremely poor quality teachers and some even teach english by talking in tamil.If businesses in India overlook this aspect more hardworking chinese will take over India for all jobs if our students dont make enough effort to master the language.

Most of the candidates resumes carry their first liners as "looking for challenging position to work in organisation" .

Please explain.

What does challenge mean to you ,when you dont even want to travel extra 10 kms out of your comfort zone.Most of them want their offices near their place of residence.

And what problems have they faced personally atleast if not professionally to say they can take up challenges ??? ..No answers.

I can pay tribute to their wrong parenting for pampering children beyond 5yrs till it becomes an irrepairable attitude of an adult.

The answer lies amongst the heap of suggestions.1.Make the induction programme as one of the most happiest & interesting day to join the company. 2.Clearly share your vision with your staff from day 1 and allow them to focus where clearly they can start their careers and reach over the period of time.3Inclusive growth seems to be a jargon more than the real experiance of work.4.Help them enjoy their work and keep checking if they are happy apart from performance reviews else they will be planning their options.

Career N-hancers will not ask questions which are discriminatory and personal to the candidates.We respect the individual respect for privacy, so questions like marriage plans and timing for maternity are not discussed especially with women.

All along we were battling our professional lives with consultants for a better package & promotion and if dis-satisfied we labelled them .But now when we started feilding the same grounds we realise there is more problems to handle on this side and we see the real bigger picture.

Career Women need to get more confident while demanding their Salary packages.I find that most experianced working women are very flexible compared to men .All I would suggest is if you are competant for the role check with men and demand for the best.
