"INS VIKRAMADITYA - The Beast Of Indian Waters"
INS Vikramaditya (R33) is a modified Kiev-class aircraft carrier which entered into service with the Indian Navy in 2013. The ship has been renamed in honour of Vikramaditya, a legendary 1st century BC emperor of Ujjain, India.

Originally built as Baku and commissioned in 1987, the carrier served with the Soviet (until the dissolution of the Soviet Union) and Russian Navies before being decommissioned in 1996 as she was too expensive to operate.

The carrier was purchased by India on 20 January 2004 after years of negotiations at a final price of $2.35 billion. The ship successfully completed her sea trials in July 2013 and aviation trials in September 2013. She was formally commissioned on 16 November 2013 at a ceremony held at Severodvinsk,Russia.

INS VIKRAMADITYA was made from irons, and other resources which were exported by INDIA.

During, Soviet era INS VIKRAMADITYA was also known as ADMIRAL GORSHKOV

The project contionously delayed for 5-8 years due to failure in boiler room and many other problems during trial runs which led to running costs of getting ADMIRAL GORSHKOV refurbished

The INS VIKRAMADITYA would be bought to INDIA through a secret passage through a convoy of RUSSIAN Warships.

The warship will take berth in Karwar port of Kochi. After reaching home it would be fitted by weapons like missile systems which will be procured from ISRAEL which has already delayed the project,MIG-29K which is naval version of MIG-29 (Estimate $2 billion). www.youtube.com/watch?v=qO3_sBOcKkQ

You thought the new USB 3.0 is fast? USB 3.0 is being updated to add a much higher data rate, delivering up to twice the data through-put performance of existing SuperSpeed USB over enhanced, fully backward compatible USB connectors and cables. This supplement to the USB 3.0 specification is anticipated to be completed by the middle of this year.

USB data transfer is about to get a hell of a lot faster. The USB Promoter Group is rolling out SuperSpeed USB, a supplement to USB 3.0 due out later this year that should surge your speeds two-fold.

The modern world is starving for energy which drives many scientists to widen the search of energy sources, including and unusual ones. Lei Zuo from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Stony Brook University discovered some sort of unusual energy source while traveling on a train. Then he noticed that vibrations on the rails could be transformed into mechanical energy. And into electricity, respectively.

Later Mr.Zuo constructed a device that is able to transform rail vibes into electricity. The device consists of a rack pinion, generator and mechanical rectifier that transforms bidirectional movement into one-directional. On the video below this energy convertor powers successfully a regular PC fan.

Lots of these generators installed along a railroad may re-generate energy sufficient for many other devices. Lei Zou‘s device has a conversion efficiency of 70% and is capable of generating roughly 250 watts depending on the level of vibrations.

Some calculations show that if the state of New York utilize this invention, the state could save up to $10 million. Viewed on a larger scale, US has more than 150 000 miles (240 000 km) of railroads which suggests a potential of saving saving tens of millions of dollars. And it will have positive ecological effect by reducing the harmful emmisions.
