DO YOU QUALIFY to apply for Australia?

Registered nurse – If you hold a minimum Bachelor of Nursing qualification from Canada, Hong Kong, Ireland, the United Kingdom or the United States and hold registration as a registered nurse in that same country you qualify for a Full skills assessment.

Registered midwife – If you hold a minimum Bachelor of Midwifery qualification from Ireland, United Kingdom or United States and hold registration as a registered midwife you qualify for a Full skills assessment.

Nurses to apply to work in New Zealand.
- Must have good English communication.
- Must have clinical work experience.
You must be able to provide evidence in the form of a self-declaration that you have practised nursing for at least two years (including 2,500 hours) within the last five years.
If you have not worked as a nurse for at least two of the last five years, you may still apply for the credential verification service. However, there is no guarantee that you will be recommended for registration.
NOTE: if you have no post registration experience at all, you are not eligible to apply for registration.

What is the Credentials Verification Service for the Nursing Council of New Zealand?
The Credentials Verification Service for the Nursing Council of New Zealand (CVS-NCNZ) provides an easy, direct and secure way for internationally qualified nurses (IQNs) to have their credentials authenticated and verified. Completing the CVS-NCNZ a requirement before you may apply for registration as a nurse with the Nursing Council of New Zealand (NCNZ).

For the CVS-NCNZ, CGFNS:

receives, reviews and retains all documents IQNs must provide for the NCNZ, including:
identity documents
educational transcripts and academic verification forms
license/registration verification
employment verification, and
English language test results.
ensures the IQNs’ documents are authentic
ensures the IQNs’ documents are all sent to NCNZ along with CGFNS’ verification report.
