When alumni reconnect with the innovation ecosystem, possibilities take shape. 🚀

The CIIC team was delighted to host Dr.B.Arun Sundaram, President, BSA Crescent Alumni Association. S.Meeran Safi, Coordinator; Shahul Hameed J.K, Coordinator; and A.J.Jabeen, Admin Executive, core team members of the Crescent Alumni Business Network, for a preliminary discussion on the Crescent Alumni Entrepreneurs Meet.

With entrepreneurship and incubation at its heart, the discussion explored ways to bring together Crescent’s entrepreneurial alumni, aspiring founders and the CIIC ecosystem—creating opportunities to connect, exchange experiences, explore incubation support and inspire new ventures.

The initiative aims to strengthen the connection between Crescent’s alumni network and CIIC’s innovation ecosystem, enabling alumni to engage with entrepreneurial opportunities while inspiring the next generation of innovators.

A Proud Milestone in Innovation & Intellectual Property!

B.S.Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science and Technology has been awarded its 35th patent for the invention:

“A ROBOTIC LIFT SYSTEM.”

The invention by and Dr.S.Rasool Mohideen, Professor, Department of Mechanical and Automobile Engineering, and Dr.S.Ramalingam, Former Researcher at BSACIST presents a simple and very safe mobile robotic dual lift vehicle designed to access high-rise buildings.

The system helps to reduce rescue time and evacuate persons from multi-storeyed buildings during emergency situations without much casualty.

This achievement marks the 35th patent granted to the Institute, further strengthening Crescent’s commitment to advancing impactful research and innovation.

The patent was facilitated by the Centre for Intellectual Property Rights (CIPR), Crescent Innovation & Incubation Council (CIIC).
