Foreign Trade Policy
An IEC holder has to ensure that details in its IEC is updated electronically
every year, during April-June period. However, for the current year only,
this period is extended by another month i.e. till 31st August, 2021.
In cases where there are no changes in IEC details same also needs to be
confirmed online.

Foreign Trade Policy
No export or import shall be made by any person without obtaining an IEC
number unless specifically exempted. For services exports, IEC shall be
necessary as per the provisions in Chapter 3 only when the service provider
is taking benefits under the Foreign Trade Policy.

Foreign Trade Policy
An IEC is a 10-character alpha-numeric number allotted to a person that
is mandatory for undertaking any export/import activities. With a view
to maintain the unique identity of an entity (firm/company/LLP etc.),
consequent upon introduction / implementation of GST, IEC will be equal
to PAN and will be separately issued by DGFT based on an application.

Exports and Imports – ‘Free’, unless regulated
(a) Exports and Imports shall be ‘Free’ except when regulated by way of
‘prohibition’, ‘restriction’ or ‘exclusive trading through State Trading
Enterprises (STEs)’ as laid down in Indian Trade Classification
(Harmonized System) [ITC (HS)] of Exports and Imports. The list of
‘Prohibited’, ‘Restricted’, and STE items can be viewed by clicking on
‘Downloads’ at http://dgft.gov.in
(b) Further, there are some items which are ‘free’ for import/export, but
subject to conditions stipulated in other Acts or in law for the time being in
force.

What is e-Registration Cum Membership Certificate (e-RCMC)?

Registration-Cum Membership Certificate (RCMC) is a certificate that validates an exporter dealing with products registered with an agency / organization that are authorised by the Indian Government. The certificate is issued for five financial years by the Export Promotion Councils (EPCs) / Commodity board / Development authority or other competent authority in India. These bodies function as the Registering Authority to issue the RCMC to its user. An exporter desiring to obtain an RCMC has to declare his mainstream business in the application. This application would be submitted to the related Registering Authority.

A total number of 26 Export Promotion Councils and 9 commodities board are present in India. Commodities board and the EPCs in India are the concerned authorities for issuing RCMC. These institutions have been authorized by the Central Government to issue RCMC to the exporters. Every EPC and the commodities board in India categories itself depending on the type of products. The RCMC shall be deemed to be valid from 1st April of the licensing year in which it was issued and shall be valid for 5 financial years ending 31st March of the licensing year, unless otherwise is specified.

आरसीएमसी क्या है ? और क्या आप इसे लेना चाहते हैं ?

पंजीकरण-सह सदस्यता प्रमाणपत्र (आरसीएमसी) एक ऐसा प्रमाणपत्र है जो भारत सरकार द्वारा अधिकृत किसी एजेंसी/संगठन के साथ पंजीकृत उत्पादों के साथ काम करने वाले निर्यातक को मान्य करता है। भारत में निर्यात संवर्धन परिषदों (ईपीसी) / कमोडिटी बोर्ड / विकास प्राधिकरण या अन्य सक्षम प्राधिकारी द्वारा पांच वित्तीय वर्षों के लिए प्रमाण पत्र जारी किया जाता है। ये निकाय अपने उपयोगकर्ता को आरसीएमसी जारी करने के लिए पंजीकरण प्राधिकरण के रूप में कार्य करते हैं। आरसीएमसी प्राप्त करने के इच्छुक निर्यातक को आवेदन में अपने मुख्य व्यवसाय की घोषणा करनी होगी। यह आवेदन संबंधित पंजीकरण प्राधिकारी को प्रस्तुत किया जाएगा।
भारत में कुल 26 एक्सपोर्ट प्रमोशन काउंसिल और 9 कमोडिटी बोर्ड मौजूद हैं। भारत में कमोडिटी बोर्ड और ईपीसी आरसीएमसी जारी करने के लिए संबंधित प्राधिकरण हैं। इन संस्थानों को केंद्र सरकार ने निर्यातकों को आरसीएमसी जारी करने के लिए अधिकृत किया है। भारत में प्रत्येक ईपीसी और कमोडिटी बोर्ड उत्पादों के प्रकार के आधार पर खुद को श्रेणीबद्ध करता है। आरसीएमसी को लाइसेंसिंग वर्ष के 1 अप्रैल से वैध माना जाएगा जिसमें इसे जारी किया गया था और लाइसेंसिंग वर्ष के 31 मार्च को समाप्त होने वाले 5 वित्तीय वर्षों के लिए वैध होगा, जब तक कि अन्यथा निर्दिष्ट न हो।
