A thought-provoking motivational talk on entrepreneurship, innovation, and success was conducted on 31 August 2026 at Hindusthan College of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore.

Organised by the Department of Information Technology, in association with the IEI Student Chapter and Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC), the session encouraged students to embrace entrepreneurial thinking, explore innovative possibilities, and transform ideas into meaningful impact.

Mr. Vijayakumar R, Founder, Electronics, Coimbatore, shared valuable insights and perspectives from his entrepreneurial journey, inspiring students to approach challenges with creativity, confidence, and a vision for creating meaningful change.

Essentials of Intellectual Property Rights

Gaining awareness of Intellectual Property Rights is essential for students and researchers working with innovative ideas and research outcomes.

A session on “Essentials of Intellectual Property Rights for Students and Researchers” was successfully conducted on 14 August 2026 at the AIML Lab, Hindusthan College of Engineering and Technology.

Dr. N. J. R. Muniraj, Professor & Dean (Research), HICET, Coimbatore, served as the resource person and shared valuable insights into intellectual property, its significance in research and innovation, and the importance of protecting original ideas and creations.

The programme encouraged students and researchers to develop a stronger understanding of intellectual property and its role in transforming innovative ideas into valuable outcomes.

Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, in association with the Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC), successfully conducted a webinar titled “From Classroom to Proprietor: My Startup Journey” on 29 August 2026 through Google Meet.

Shri Poovarasan, Proprietor of Sri Lakshmi RO System, Tirupathur, shared valuable insights from his entrepreneurial journey, giving students a practical perspective on transforming ideas into successful business ventures. His experiences highlighted the importance of innovation, determination, continuous learning, and embracing challenges along the entrepreneurial journey.

Session inspired students to look beyond traditional classroom learning, explore new possibilities, and develop the confidence to turn their ideas into meaningful ventures.

Entrepreneurship – Key to Success

Ideas have the power to create change, but turning those ideas into reality requires vision, planning, and the confidence to take the first step.

The Department of Civil Engineering, Hindusthan College of Engineering and Technology, successfully conducted a session on “Entrepreneurship – Key to Success” on 28 August 2026.

The session was handled by Dr. A. Jayanthi, Associate Professor, Department of Management Sciences, HICET, who shared practical insights on developing an entrepreneurial mindset, identifying opportunities, and transforming ideas into impactful ventures.

The session provided students with a fresh perspective on entrepreneurship and encouraged them to think creatively, embrace opportunities, and take purposeful steps towards their goals.

Department of Mechatronics Engineering, in association with the Entrepreneurship Development Cell, successfully conducted an IIC Self-Driven Activity on “Entrepreneurial Thinking for Real-World Solutions” on 27 August 2026.

Dr. Brindha Natarajan, Innovation Ambassador and Assistant Professor, Department of Management, Shrimati Indira Gandhi College, Trichy, was the Resource Person.

The session focused on the importance of looking at everyday challenges from an entrepreneurial perspective and turning ideas into practical solutions. Students gained valuable insights into creative problem-solving, innovation, and developing a mindset that looks beyond challenges to identify meaningful opportunities.

The Department of Food Technology, Hindusthan College of Engineering and Technology, in association with the Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) and Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), successfully conducted a webinar on “From Idea to Business: How to Turn a Problem into a Business” on 20 August 2026.

The session featured Ms. Shreya Gupta, ESG Consultant, OneStopESG, Mentor & Speaker, Bengaluru, who shared valuable insights on identifying real-world problems, developing solutions, and exploring how those solutions can evolve into sustainable business ideas.
