Cyclothon event was conducted in to register the 75th year of independence celebration under . Our Corporation commissioner Mr.Rajagopal Sunkara, I.A.S. also participated in the event. The green flag was waved by our CEO Dr. N. Rajakumar, I.R.S. The event took place on October 3 (Sunday). The route covered our major lake projects which were around 22 km.

A trial was conducted at the Thadagam road intersection near Kumaraswamy lake to improve accessibility and safety for pedestrians especially young children and caregivers as part of the 'Nurturing Neighbourhoods Challenge'. Interventions involved creating safe and colorful pedestrian crossings, putting a median to block the cross-flow of vehicles, and creating a pocket play space at the intersection.
